CARBONDALE — Both the Carbondale Terriers and Benton Rangerettes Tuesday night played what was described by their coaches as a little sloppy early in the new volleyball season.

But at the end of three sets, Benton snatched a road win (25-22, 17-25, 25-22) to improve to 2-0 under head coach Kelly Griffith.
