After receiving 72 million entries, Home and Garden Television' s $1.1 million, grand-prize San Antonio house is now a home. Cathy Everts of Eagle, Idaho, won the network's 2025 sweepstakes and will soon become Alamo City's newest resident.

HGTV announced its 2025 Smart Home giveaway in April, choosing San Antonio for its rich blend of history and modern attractions. In addition to a completely renovated 1950s charmer, the prize included a 2025 Mercedes-Benz GLC Plug-In Hybrid SUV and $100,000 in cash.

KM Builders updated the vintage three-bedroom, three-bath estate with energy-efficient skylights and an open floor plan. Famed interior designer Poonam Moore fully furnished the rooms with a subdued color palette and clean lines that echo the home's midcentury roots.
