This year’s 30th annual Buckmasters Expo in Montgomery brought thousands of people together who love the outdoors and want to help their community.
Organizers say more than 25,000 people attended the Expo, which was held earlier this month at the Montgomery Convention Center. They got to see the latest in hunting, fishing and other outdoor gear, plus witness some exciting events.
Buckmasters also helps the community.
Admission was either $1 or a canned food item to benefit Friendship Mission and the Salvation Army. A total of $11,000 in cash was collected, as well as more than 9,700 pounds of food. That’s enough to provide 130,000 meals.
There was also a new Buckmasters event this year — a golf tournament.
It was held at the Robert Trent Jones Golf Course at Capitol Hill in Prattvill
