Gov. Ned Lamont is issuing a directive that United States and state flags in Connecticut be flown at half-staff through sunset on Sunday, in accordance with a proclamation from President Donald Trump that orders flags throughout the country to be lowered as a mark of respect for the victims of the shooting at Annunciation Catholic School in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Two children, ages 8 and 10, were killed when a gunman opened fire at the Annunciation Catholic School during a morning Mass, authorities said . Seventeen others, including 14 children, were injured, police said.
