Former Dallas Mavericks majority owner Mark Cuban recently revealed on the DLLS Sports podcast how the NBA forced him out of having significant power when he sold a majority stake of the team in 2023.

After 23 years of ownership, Cuban spoke on if he has any regrets about how the sale went down.

"I don't regret selling the team, I regret how I did it," Cuban said. "Would I still sell the team? Yes, for all the same reasons I've said 100 times. Would I do it the same way? Absolutely not. I would have put it out to bid, but I didn't so it doesn't matter."

In December 2023, Cuban sold his stake for about $3.5 billion to the Las Vegas Sands Corporation, which is led by Miriam Adelson and Sivan and Patrick Dumont.
