ANDERSON COUNTY, Tenn — The Anderson County Sheriff's Office is launching a new work release program for current inmates.

Allen Lowe helps build doors at Dealer's Warehouse in Powell, Tennessee.

"We do doors for Clayton Homes, stuff like that. I mean, we put them together, fix them, everything, you name it, we can do it," Lowe said.

At first glance, you would not be able to tell he is an inmate in Anderson County. An ankle monitor is the only thing that sets him and six other inmates apart from their coworkers.

"Everybody makes mistakes, and they give us a chance to actually correct this mistake," said Lowe.

Lowe and the six other inmates have been selected to be a part of the Anderson County Sheriff's Office's new work release program.
