Two people are missing after a canoe capsized on a lake in Kananaskis on Tuesday.
Cochrane RCMP say Mounties and Kananaskis Emergency Services (KES) were called to Upper Kananaskis Lake around 4 p.m. for reports of missing canoeists.
Police say there were four people in the boat when it capsized. Bystanders used boats and paddleboards to rescue a 30-year-old man and a 34-year-old woman.
A man and woman in their 30s are missing. The search for the pair is ongoing.
Cochrane RCMP say they will provide an update when more information is available.
Two people died after a Calgary family’s canoe capsized on Barrier Lake in Kananaskis earlier this month. A mother was found and taken to the hospital, while her husband and 30-year-old son were found dead.
