The Chicago White Sox placed starting center fielder Luis Robert Jr. on the 10-day injured list Wednesday with a left hamstring strain ahead of the finale of the team’s home series against the Kansas City Royals.

Robert was removed from Tuesday’s 5-4 loss in the fourth inning after just one at-bat. This marks the second time in a two-month span that Robert has been sidelined due to his left hamstring. He was also on the 10-day IL from June 29 through July 8 with a left hamstring strain.

A career .259 hitter who recently surpassed the 100-homer mark for his career, Robert is having a bit of a down season, hitting .223 with 14 homers and 53 RBIs in 110 games this season. However, he’s been better since the All-Star Break, posting a .298 batting average and .352 on-base percentage.
