SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) – The City of Shreveport is moving forward with construction of a new police substation in Cedar Grove Park, located at West 70th Street and St. Vincent Avenue near Interstate 49. Testament Construction submitted the lowest bid for the project at $1,794,000.
The Cedar Grove Substation will serve Southeast Shreveport and surrounding neighborhoods. It is the third and final substation authorized by voters in the 2021 Public Safety Bond issue.
According to a news release, under Mayor Tom Arceneaux’s administration, the substation program has made significant progress.
