SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - The beloved art installation known as 'The Odyssey' in downtown Springfield is set to be removed by September 2nd.

The interactive sculpture, which has been a popular attraction since May, was created by artists from Quebec, Canada, in partnership with Springfield's Business Improvement District. It was always intended to be a temporary installation.

"It's a conversation piece. And it did exactly what it was supposed to do," said Michelle Grout, Executive Director of the Business Improvement District. "It created a destination for people who haven't been here before."
