NEW HANOVER COUNTY, N.C. ( WECT /Gray News) - A North Carolina man is facing charges for allegedly drugging Dairy Queen Blizzards that were given to his two grandchildren.
According to the Wilmington Police Department, 66-year-old James Yokeley flagged down a police officer at a Sheetz gas station on Aug. 8.
Yokeley told the officer that his granddaughters had found two pills in the ice cream they had purchased at a Dairy Queen on Oleander Drive.
“Medical personnel checked the two juveniles,” police stated in a press release. “It was determined that they had not ingested any of the substances.”
Officers reported that the blue pressed pills were tested in the field and found to contain MDMA, commonly known as ecstasy, and cocaine.
