Police in a Twin Cities suburb are upping their patrols at schools following an "vague and unsubstantiated threat" in the wake of the mass shooting at Annunciation School in Minneapolis on Wednesday.

On Wednesday, a staff member at a Plymouth school called police after receiving a “vague and unsubstantiated” threat made towards a institution.

After learning of the threat, Wayzata Public Schools and Robbinsdale Area School districts were both notified.

Investigators looked into the threat and have no reason to believe there is any credible threat to any schools in Plymouth.

The department said it provided extra patrols at schools throughout the day out of an abundance of caution.

The suburb of Plymouth sits approximately 14 miles west of Minneapolis.
