WRIGHTSVILLE, Ark. — The city of Wrightsville has officially lost its only grocery store.

The closure is something city leaders have been working to change, and something residents are hopeful they can do.

“We really do need that store to come back,” said Georgia Curruth, who has lived in Wrightsville for 51 years.

The store in question was a Dollar General, which might not seem like a huge deal — after all, there are dozens of them across Pulaski County.

But on Highway 365 in Wrightsville, about twenty minutes South of Little Rock, the store played a valuable role.
