HERMITAGE Hermitage Police are investigating a stabbing that seriously injured two people early Wednesday.

Officers were dispatched to the Shenango Park Apartments on the 1400 block of Bolde Drive at approximately 2:30 a.m. for a report of a male and female stabbing victim. Police said the suspects left the scene before their arrival.

Officers provided medical care to both Tareese Scott, 27, and Simon Truitt, 29, both of Hermitage, before they were taken to a hospital.

Later Wednesday, police said a male and female were taken into custody at the UPMC Horizon – Shenango Valley Campus in connection with the stabbings.
