TUCSON, Ariz. (KVOA) - Tucson Comic-Con is making its return for its 16th annual event over Labor Day weekend.

The convention will run from Aug. 30 to Sept. 1, at the Tucson Convention Center, 260 S. Church Ave.

Originally launched in 2008 as a one-day event with around 500 attendees, Tucson Comic-Con has since grown significantly. This year, the convention will feature a unique "Little Heroes" event, offering a VIP experience for children from local hospitals and organizations, organizers said.

The convention will also include a silent auction benefiting local charities and live tattooing by Spark Collective. Attendees can look forward to expanded exhibitor space, spotlight panels with notable guests and various art and gaming activities.
