BLUEFIELD, WV (WVNS) -- One of the most historic rivalries in both Virginias will do battle on the football field once again this Friday.

Both Bluefield High School and Graham High School are getting pumped!

The Battle of the Bluefields dates back to 1911 when the first game was played and won by the Bluefield High School Beavers with a 17 to 5 score over the Graham High School G-Men.

Since then, 98 games have been played between the schools and currently Bluefield is leading in wins over Graham with 69 wins to 27 losses and two tie games.

However, the previous four years have been G-Men wins, so will we see a come back this year?

Or will the G-Men continue their streak?

Whatever the result, this game is important to both schools and both communities.
