Oregon’s offensive coordinator enters his third season having coached back-to-back Heisman Trophy finalists at quarterback, an achievement that typically puts a coordinator on the fast track to becoming a head coach. Both Bo Nix and Dillon Gabriel, running backs Bucky Irving and Jordan James, receivers Troy Franklin and Tez Johnson, tight end Terrance Ferguson and offensive linemen Josh Conerly Jr., Jackson Powers-Johnson and Ajani Cornelius have all been drafted during Stein’s tenure at UO.
