TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) - The United Way of the Big Bend kicked off its 2025 campaign on Wednesday, and more than 400 people were in attendance to celebrate.

The United Way funds dozens of nonprofits and focuses on helping our neighbors who live in poverty or paycheck to paycheck.
Beth Corum, UWBB board chair, said the event is meant to raise awareness and funds for the organization.
“It’s about raising money first and foremost, but it’s about having fun and reconnecting with the why. Why do you do it? Why is it important? Why do you give money? Why do you give your time?”
Longtime realtor Virginia Glass was honored with the United Way’s legacy award for serving as a dedicated board member, campaign chair and supporter for decades.
