SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. (NEWS10) - The NYC Mac Truck has been a food staple at the Saratoga Race Course for more than a decade. One of its summer employees is the 14-year-old son of well-known jockey, Junior Alvarado.

Adrian Alvarado has grown up at race tracks around the country. By ten, he got bored and asked his mom for advice. She suggested asking the owner of the Mac Truck if they needed any help.

“My first reaction was I’m going to have to babysit all summer, he’s ten years old! Flash forward to the end of the season I was going to this kid, 'Are you going to be here tomorrow?,' he was that good of a worker,” said Dom Tesoriero, the owner of the Mac Truck.

Adrian has worked at the Mac Truck for the last four summers. He says he loves the people, and his boss, Dom.
