BALTIMORE -- Jarren Duran and Ceddanne Rafaela, the highly-athletic duo who man left and center field for the Red Sox, converged on a flyball in the bottom of the seventh inning at Camden Yards on Wednesday night.

It should have been the third out of the inning. Yet both players backed off and Dylan Carlson had a go-ahead RBI double in the boxscore.

There would be redemption, though. Not just for Duran, who led off the top of the ninth with a single, but even more so for Rafaela, who clocked a two-run shot to left-center to put the Red Sox back in front for good for an ultimately satisfying 3-2 win over the O’s.

Brayan Bello put Boston in position to win with his latest solid start, giving up five hits and two runs (one earned) over 6 2/3 innings. He walked one and struck out six.
