Indiana safety Louis Moore was granted the ability to play the first two games of the season by a judge in Dallas County Civil District Court on Wednesday as the veteran defensive back continues to battle the NCAA for an extra season of eligibility.

Tillery extended for two more weeks the temporary restraining order on the NCAA's denial of Moore's waiver request, until another hearing set for Sept. 10. Moore's eligibility remains in doubt beyond that. The original TRO had been in place since Aug. 13 and allowed Moore to practice with the Hoosiers.

The 90-minute hearing held Wednesday danced around the main question – the merits of Moore's case against the NCAA – and focused instead on the NCAA's motion to dismiss the lawsuit on the grounds that Moore should be suing in Indiana instead of
