SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3) - A legal battle over the wording of a ballot question on abortion access is playing out in Cole County Court.
Cole County Judge Daniel Richard Green heard arguments in the trial on Wednesday afternoon. The ACLU is representing Anna Fitz-James, a Missouri woman, in a lawsuit against the state over the wording of a question put on the ballot by Missouri state lawmakers. The ballot measure seeks to remove the abortion access put into the Missouri constitution by the passage of Amendment Three in November 2024.
Judge Green made no ruling on Wednesday.
