TUCSON, Ariz. (KVOA) - Former Arizona State Sen. Justine Louise Wadsack may face contempt of court charges after missing a recent court hearing.
Wadsack's attorney appeared on her behalf and confirmed she was informed of the hearing via email earlier this month.
The attorney representing the defendants, urged the court to hold Wadsack in contempt and impose sanctions for her absence.
The court will issue an Order to Show Cause, requiring Wadsack to explain her absence. A new hearing will be scheduled once her response is filed.
The hearing lasted about five minutes and primarily focused on Wadsack's absence.
Earlier this year, Wadsack had lodged a lawsuit against the City of Tucson and several police officers, alleging conspiracy, wrongful prosecution and violations of her constitut
