NEW RICHMOND, WV (WVNS) - The Wyoming East Warriors are looking for improvement after winning just one game last season.

Head Coach Steven Cook said it is a day-by-day approach in New Richmond, as he and his staff are focused on building a “football culture” at Wyoming East High School.

The school itself has produced a lot of athletic talent, with boys and girls basketball teams that are perennial powerhouses. But Cook says getting the football program back to the heights it reached a decade ago is a slow process.

However, he comes into the 2025 season with belief that the work he’s put into building a football culture is about to pay off with some wins on the field.
