A family wants justice after a man was killed by a hit-and-run driver in northwest Miami-Dade Monday night.
Gregory Hughes was crossing an intersection on his bike when the driver hit him and kept going, investigators said.
On Wednesday, Hughes’ niece, Tatyana Salomon, placed flowers where her uncle was hit.
“You left, why? I just want to know why,” Salomon asked. “You wouldn't want someone to do your family like this.”
She said many people called Hughes “Woo Woo" and that her uncle was loving, kind and a hard worker. He was always at the gas station on Northwest 103rd Street and 12th Avenue in Miami.
“He helps people pump their gas, he opens the door, he gives great Bible quotes and he always said everybody wants to go to Heaven but nobody wants to die, and now look,” Salomon said.
