AUGUSTA, Ga. (WJBF) - A 14-year-old and a 16-year-old who were allegedly armed were arrested Wednesday after a foot pursuit, according to the Richmond County Sheriff's Office.

According to police, deputies and a K-9 officer responded to the area of Rosier Road at Eric Court near Salem arms on Aug. 27 in reference to two individuals who were reportedly armed with pistols. A foot pursuit followed.

Officers later discovered the individuals in a ravine, and both were taken into custody and transported to the YDC.

Police stated that they recovered two handguns from the scene, one of which is reported to be stolen.
