FARGO — Fargo-Moorhead dropped its second straight game as starter Ben Kowalski pitched six strong innings to lead Winnipeg past the RedHawks 3-1 on Wednesday night in American Association baseball at Newman Outdoor Field.

Lamar Sparks hit his sixth home run of the season for the RedHawks, this one a leadoff blast in the sixth inning to cut into Winnipeg's 3-0 lead. Jose Sermo had two hits for the RedHawks.

Losing pitcher Kolby Kiser allowed three runs on six hits, while striking out two and walking two for F-M. The RedHawks bullpen was effective as Parker Harm, Colten Davis and Alex DuBord struck out five of the nine batters they faced.
