Partnership for Public Health is putting on a gala fundraiser at the Lakeport Opera House that’s just to die for.

Someone in the crowd will actually suffer a very public “death,” and those remaining at the party will follow clues to figure out what happened when theater talent from The Murder Mystery Company, in partnership with American Immersion Theater, puts on Midnight at the Masquerade.

The suspenseful, purposeful event led by a company recently featured on Shark Tank will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 12.

“The actors will be dispersed and will be intermingling with the guests and staff,” said Tammy Carmichael, chief executive officer for Partnership for Public Health. “We will be part of the acting as well and in the clues being put out there. Then a murder will happen
