LAKE CHARLES, La. (KPLC) - Fresh off of a district championship, Hamilton Christian looks a little different this year.

“We have 30-plus players, close to 35. We’ve never had that. I’ve been there 16 years.” Warrior head coach Dexter Washington says the large roster number has been an adjustment this year. “What do I do with 35 kids? I’ve got to go back and really put a practice schedule together now.”

Coach Washington says the new additions are bringing Hamilton Christian to the next level. “What we have this year that we hadn’t had in a long time, we got size on the D line, we got size on the O line, and we got some young kids that just want to play football.”
