Riyadh Air , has shared pictures of the first new-build Boeing 787-9 that is set to join its fleet later this year. The aircraft is nearing the end of the assembly line at Boeing's 787 production facility in Charleston, South Carolina. It is likely to have a swift entry into service, with the carrier expected to begin its first flights towards the end of October.

There has been a flurry of activity from Riyadh Air in the past few months as it readies for launch. It has placed large orders with Airbus for both narrowbody and widebody aircraft, which will operate alongside its Boeing 787s. It has also revealed the luxurious cabins that will be installed on the new aircraft, and even hinted at its first destinations.
