TRI-CITIES, Wash. – Representative Newhouse visited the Tri-Cities area to meet with local leaders and business community members.

However, his visit to the Red Lion Pasco was met with a group of protesters outside the event, holding signs and flags.

Acknowledging the protest at the start of his speech, Newhouse commended the group for expressing their opinions.

“That’s what makes our country great. And so, that’s great that people are so interested in the issues of the day that they want to come out and, and show that interest and speak, you know, to the to you guys. That’s not just for me. That’s for you to, to understand some of the issues and how they impact people, how they feel about them,” Rep. Newhouse said.
