CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - The family of 73-year-old Cleo Aaron hopes the driver who fatally hit him in Cleveland will come forward, so they can have closure.
According to family, he was hit around 9 p.m. on Aug. 5 as he was leaving East 81st Deli on Superior Avenue.
Surveillance video showed a dark colored car hitting him and taking off.
Dwayne Aaron, Cleo’s brother, said it has been painful that nobody has been caught as they grieve his death.
“Cleo was a good spirited young man even though he was 73,” Aaron said. “He loved to box, he loved his family, he loved to stay in shape, he was good with his community. Just an all-around good dude.”
Cleo’s son, Delanzo Jacobs, hopes this driver is caught or turns themself in soon so this doesn’t happen to another family.
