Istood in the parking lot of our new Waverly Christian School a week ago Sunday and prayed with about 30 kids and adults. We prayed for the children, their parents, teachers and administrators of this school and all other schools, public and private, in the Waverly-Shell Rock area. What a blessing to be able to join with other believers from a variety of churches in town to bring this new school year to God in prayer.

It has been Darlene’s and my habit to pray for our schools and especially for our children as the school year begins and progresses. We believe the Lord Jesus cares about the children of Bremer County and this world. The old song says, “Jesus loves the little children, all the children of the world.” God’s love for children is revealed in Matthew’s account of the lost sheep.
