Police at Jenda in Mzimba District have arrested four men for trafficking 60 bags of charcoal.
Deputy spokesperson for Jenda Police Precious Mzunga said the suspects were intercepted at a checkpoint in Champhira while using a white 3-tonner Dyna truck (registration MZ11455), driven by 26-year-old Anold Sichali.
Mzunga said the men failed to produce documents proving the charcoal was legal.
The suspects have been identified as Blessing Chisambi (25), Justin Phiri (30), driver Anold Sichali (26), and his assistant Mphatso Kaluwa (21), all from Traditional Authority Mzikubola in Mzimba.
They are expected to appear in court soon.
