A social media post claiming that Purdue Polytechnic High School at Broad Ripple was at "risk of closing" spread earlier this week among local skeptics of charter schools, but the school's authorizer says it isn't true.

The post, written by MaryAnn Schlegel Ruegger, points to a recent presentation given by leaders of Purdue Polytechnic, where they revealed that they had received a “notice of deficiency” from their authorizer, the Indianapolis Mayor's Office of Education Innovation , regarding declining enrollment in recent years.
