Parents have the right to say no to explicit sex surveys being fed to 11-year-old kids and the Burlington public school district is not honoring that right.

Burlington parent Adrianne Simeone was surprised when her then 13-year-old middle school son told her he just answered a 45-minute survey about sex, drug use and alcohol use because she had opted out.

Now she is looking for answers from the school superintendent and school committee about why the survey – which asked about anal sex, oral sex, sex toys and vaping – was given to kids of parents who rightfully objected to it.
