EL CENTRO — Last week, the El Centro City Council approved bid documents for the Frazier Field-Eddie White Complex Parking Lot Project and authorized the Community Services Department to send the project out to bid.

In 2021, the City submitted a grant application to the Imperial County Air Pollution Control District.

Although the grant was not awarded at the time, the City was notified in 2024 that funding in the amount of $342,012 had been approved for a parking lot at Frazier Field–Eddie White Complex. Given the time that has passed since the original submission, the city anticipates that project bids may exceed the budgeted amount.
