AMES — Saturday, Matt Campbell’s filter didn’t make it to the interview room. That's rare for Iowa State's head football coach.
Following ISU's 24-21 win against Kansas State , Campbell re-entered his postgame press conference to respond to a joke K-State athletic director Gene Taylor made at a pep rally . That drew most of the buzz on social media, but Campbell gave another striking statement.
“I said this, and if I make anybody mad I don’t really care,” Campbell said. “So, I think we’re set up for failure because I think this is the hardest schedule in the country.”
