WOODBURY – The annual Woodbury Volunteer Fire Department carnival will take place in Hollow Park from Thursday, August 28 through Saturday, August 30 starting at 6 p.m. each night and ending at 10 p.m. “We really don’t make any money from this,” said Fire Chief Janet B. Morgan. “Entry is free and it’s a community event to mark the end of summer and the start of the school year.”

Hamburgers, hotdogs, corn on the cob and the annual specialty of deep fat-fried Oreo cookies are all available. Visitors can purchase a single $35 ticket good for all carnival rides each evening. The town’s active firetrucks also will be present with firefighters happy to explain the equipment as a break from selling, cooking and serving the carnival snacks.
