SHELDON, I.A. (Dakota News Now) - Two employees at Sanford Sheldon Clinic celebrated 50 years of service on Wednesday.

It was all smiles and a time for celebration for everyone at Sanford Sheldon Clinic as they celebrated two employees, Sue Roth and Helen Van Den Berg, for achieving 50 years of service.

Roth, as an activities coordinator, and Van Den Berg, as a licensed practical nurse, started their journey in 1975 and have helped more than a thousand people along the way.

“It crept up on us, I mean, I don’t believe it. The numbers say it’s there, but I was not,” said Van Den Berg.

“I mean, it’s fifty years, but sometimes when we start reminiscing, because we both work together, of course, in certain areas, it’s just hard to believe that it’s been that long,” said Roth.
