'Elden Ring' Director Alex Garland Reveals His Obsessive Pitch for the A24 Movie Adaptation

Elden Ring is one of those games that you either give up playing after the 100th death or you become endlessly obsessed with and replay again, and again, and again. Thankfully for A24's upcoming movie adaptation, writer/director Alex Garland falls firmly into the latter camp. Garland is famously a big comic book and video game fan, having written and shadow-directed 2012's Dredd movie starring Karl Urban. But the writer of 28 Days Later and Devs has taken his obsessive prep to a whole new level for Elden Ring. Garland didn't just come up with a quick elevator pitch; he practically wrote an entire script!
