The Federal Bureau of Investigation’s Philadelphia Field Office is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying and locating two to three men involved in a series of armored car robberies in the city from June through August.
The suspects successfully robbed four armored trucks in that span and attempted to rob a fifth, according to a news release issued by the FBI this week.
The bureau is offering a reward of up $10,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspects. Brinks, the target in most of the robberies, is also offering an additional reward, though that amount was not specified by the FBI.
The first robbery took place June 26 when a Loomis truck was hit at 5200 Whitaker Ave. by two robbers.
