LAKE SHORE — An intern with the Lake Shore Police Department will get a second stint in that work.
The Lake Shore City Council agreed at its regular meeting Monday, Aug. 25, to take a second opportunity through Sourcewell for another fully paid internship for Quinten Kocak.
The internship is for 640 hours at $15 per hour, or $9,600 that Sourcewell will fully reimburse at the end of the internship.
"Let it be noted that Quinten is very interested in working full time for the police department when he is done with college in July of 2026," Police Chief Mike Heldt wrote in his report.
The monthly police activity report for July listed 86 traffic-related incidents and 54 miscellaneous calls for service.
