Metro Council passed Council member Rollin Horton’s bill last week changing zoning for portions of The Nations neighborhood in West Nashville to allow for more housing density.

But there has been some confusion concerning his bill and another bill that has been indefinitely deferred, Horton says.

The Horton bill that passed involves 300 acres, not the 600-plus acres previously reported in another bill. Horton says outside neighborhood organizations such as the Green Hills Neighborhood Association and others “have their own unique issues” and he “tailored his bill for the solution of the particular needs of the Nations.”

In an email, he stated that he did not include his entire District 20, only The Nations.
