Silver Spring police searching for missing 80-year-old man last seen Tuesday afternoon

Silver Spring, MD – Police in Montgomery County are asking for the public’s help in locating 80-year-old Abebe Wolde, who was reported missing after he was last seen Tuesday afternoon in Silver Spring.

Authorities say Wolde was last spotted around 1 p.m. on August 26 in the 10000 block of Green Forest Drive. He is described as 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighing about 130 pounds, with gray and white pepper-colored hair.

At the time of his disappearance, Wolde was wearing a blue checkered long-sleeve shirt, blue pants, brown dress shoes, prescription glasses, and a gold watch.

Police have released a photo and are urging anyone who may have seen Wolde or knows of his whereabouts to contact the Montgomery C
