WESTVILLE — Purdue University Northwest cut the ribbon Wednesday on a new 'state-of-the-art' microbiology lab that'll serve students on its Westville campus.
The new lab space inside the Technology Building, which previously served as two classrooms, was renovated earlier this summer. It features new equipment, including a teaching microscope and fixed pod seating that can accommodate up to 24 students per class.
Additionally, the lab has windows to see inside the space from the hallways, similar to some learning spaces on the Hammond campus. The purpose, according to PNW Chancellor Chris Holford, was to put science on display.
