An attempted murder-suicide is under investigation in Quarryville Borough, Pennsylvania State Police announced on Thursday, Aug. 28.
Troopers said they were called to a domestic disturbance at a residence on the 100 block of East State Street around 1:21 a.m. and saw someone lying motionless inside through a window. When officers forced entry, they found a 30-year-old woman suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. She was rushed to a nearby hospital and remains in critical condition.
Inside the home, troopers also discovered 34-year-old Marcus Taltoan dead from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound. Investigators determined Taltoan shot the woman several times before turning the gun on himself.
The Lancaster Criminal Investigation Unit is leading the case with support from Troop J Forensic Services, Collision Analysis specialists, and the Lancaster County Coroner’s Office.
