Each year, passionate individuals join the Parks & Recreation Department's Youth Council to enhance their leadership skills and lead transformative service projects.

Members address youth issues, influence policy, and create engaging city events that empower young voices, leaving a lasting impact on our community.

According to their webpage, the youth council has a mission to inspire, prepare, and unite youth to take action that changes the world through service while developing leadership skills and learning about the role of Parks & Recreation in city government.
