OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) — Some Oklahoma rural law enforcement agencies say they're waiting to see how things play out following an opinion from the Attorney General on Wednesday blocking plans to pull troopers out of the state's most populated areas.
Attorney General Gentner Drummond shared his opinion on Wednesday, a month after Department of Public Safety Commissioner Tim Tipton laid out a plan to focus troop efforts on a 24-hour coverage plan for rural Oklahoma areas. Drummond said he believes the plan, which would leave metro community law enforcement agencies on their own, is unlawful.
