The winner of the $348 million Mega Millions drawing on June 27 , the largest lottery payout ever won by a player from the state of Virginia, claimed their prize and revealed their planned first purchase earlier this month.

The ticker holder, who opted to stay anonymous, said they plan to buy a new, zero-radium riding lawn mower, which starts at $3,000, with part of the winnings from the jackpot, Mega Millions announced in a post shared on its website on August 14. The winner claimed the prize at the Virginia Lottery headquarters in Richmond about four weeks after the drawing took place.
